If you’re struggling with the stairs, a stairlift can make your life so much easier. To learn more about how they work and how quick and easy they are to install, call us on 0800 999 2292. We’re here to help and will answer any questions you might have. There will be no hard sell and no obligation to buy at any time.

Before you call us, it can be helpful to have some details about your home and the people who’ll be using the stairlift ready to share with us.

When you call us, we’ll ask you:

1) How long are your stairs when you measure from the top step straight down the stairs to the floor?

2) How many steps are there on your stairs?

3) How wide is your staircase?

4) Are there any doors/radiators at the top/bottom of your stairs?

5) As you look up from the bottom of the stairs, what side do you want the stairlift to be on?

6) How much do the people using the stairlift weigh?

All our lifts can carry people who weigh up to 20 stone/127 kg.

The minimum width staircase we can work is approximately 28 inches.

No structural changes are needed for our teams to install a stairlift as the stairlift itself fits onto your stairs, not your walls.

If you’re considering fitting a new stair carpet, we suggest that it’s fitted before your stairlift is installed.

Stairlifts leave minimal impact and will fit to your stairs using four rectangular plates that have a small screw in each of the four corners.

To fit a stairlift, we need a minimum clearance of 600mm/6 cm

Single radiators are usually fine—but we may need to discuss your options if the radiator in question is a double.

We aim to get you from order to installation in under a week. The installation usually takes around 90 minutes and includes a full step-by-step safety demonstration to ensure you’re completely happy with everything.

Your stairlift will finish flush with your landing step, then pivot 90 degrees so you can safely dismount onto the landing. It then pivots back to fold away flat out of the way.

The simple answer to this question is that it depends. If the curve in your staircase is at the top of the staircase and consists of fanned stairs, we cannot fit a straight lift. That’s because the person using the stairlift would have to get off the stairlift at the narrowest part of the stairs, putting them at risk of falling.

However, if your stairs have a square platform at the top where the staircase turns, then a further few stairs, we can fit a straight lift up the first straight section or two straight lifts up each flight, depending on space.

We cannot fit a straight lift if the curve of your stairs is at the bottom and consists of fanned stairs. The cheapest option here would be to get a local carpenter to adjust your stairs (at a rough cost of £100) and make a square platform at the bottom. If the user can manage the first step up to that square platform, then we can fit a straight lift.

If you’re unsure about what style of stairlift would work in your home, just give us a call, and we’ll do our best to help: 0800 999 2292

The manufacturer makes each curved lift rail to meet the specific measurements of each customer’s home. While straight stairlifts can be fitted to any straight staircase, curved options are made bespoke to each customer’s home.

All our stairlift prices include installation, warranty, and a rail of up to 4.5m in length.

The only extras that we need to charge for are:

–    A split rail (if access is a problem, we use a split rail, which we join once the stairlift is in the property) + £50

–    Installation on concrete stairs + £50

–    A hinged rail (where a standard rail may overrun a doorway or become a trip hazard) + £150

–    Rails over 4.5m in length + £80

Yes. If needed, spare parts are available for all the stairlifts we stock.

We do offer a stairlift rental service. There’s an initial upfront charge of £295 and then a rental charge of £10 per week.

However, our straight lift prices start from just £499, which includes the stairlift, installation, a 12-month warranty and a free service.

Call us on 0800 999 2292, and we’ll help you work out the most cost-effective option for you.
